Hamouchi Approves New Security Appointments in Five Cities to Enhance Police Service Effectiveness

The General Directorate of National Security announced on Saturday, October 25, 2025, a series of new appointments to the heads of decentralized public security services in five cities. This initiative is part of a plan to refresh the security forces and benefit from young and experienced talents.

The appointments include six new positions, such as Deputy Head of the Security Area in Settat, Head of the Regional Judicial Police in Ouarzazate, and Head of the Police Administrative Division in Ben Guerir.

Additionally, security officials were placed at the head of other decentralized services, including the appointment of heads of two police districts in Taza and a security officer to lead the traffic department in Azrou.

The Directorate emphasized that the selection of new officials was based on high professional standards, integrity, and work experience to ensure the implementation of the new security strategy. This strategy aims to enhance citizens’ sense of security, improve the quality of police services, and foster openness and communication with the public.
