During a question-and-answer session in the House of Representatives, Amine Tahraoui, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, confirmed that the ministry has made significant progress in implementing the program for acquiring resources aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure and improving services provided to citizens.

The minister clarified that 95% of the planned resources have been acquired, totaling 876 units—comprising 648 ambulances, 198 mobile units, and 30 additional units dedicated to supporting healthcare coverage in remote areas.

Tahraoui added that the remaining 44 units are currently in the procurement phase, assuring that the ministry is working to accelerate the execution of this program as part of the national strategy to bolster the readiness of the healthcare system and enhance citizens’ access to medical services across various regions of the kingdom.

The minister noted that this initiative is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare offerings, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, by enhancing the health transport fleet and providing the necessary logistical resources to bring services closer to citizens and ensure the continuity of medical interventions in various circumstances.
