Said Rachiq Appointed Regional Delegate of the Ombudsman Institution for the Casablanca-Settat Region
Casablanca witnessed a ceremony today, Friday, marking the appointment of Said Rachiq as the Regional Delegate of the Ombudsman Institution for the Casablanca-Settat region. This step aims to strengthen the institution’s presence at the local level and to implement a close policy in service of the citizens.
The Ombudsman, Hassan Tarek, confirmed in a press statement that this appointment is part of the strategic plan of the institution for 2026-2030, which places particular importance on the regional aspect of institutional mediation, recognizing it as a lever to enhance trust between the administration and the citizens.
He clarified that strengthening the network of regional delegations is now a fundamental pillar for improving services and managing the increasing social demand for mediation, in line with royal directives advocating for the principles of justice and equity.
For his part, Said Rachiq emphasized his commitment to developing relationships with the regional administration to find fair solutions to the issues presented to the delegation, noting that the region’s economic and social size necessitates a proactive and transparent approach to handling complaints.
He added that his priorities include improving the reception infrastructure of the delegation, creating modern reception areas, and utilizing digital channels to report complaints and track cases, along with enhancing proactive mediation by analyzing complaints and proposing practical solutions before issues escalate.
He also highlighted the importance of cooperation with local authorities, civil society, universities, and the media to establish a culture of rights and duties and promote the values of good governance in the region.
