Two New Agreements between Maroc Post and Saudi Post to Enhance Cooperation and Support E-commerce
On the sidelines of the 28th Universal Postal Congress held in Dubai from September 8 to 19, 2025, under the theme “Leading Change to Shape the Future,” and with the participation of over 2,000 delegates representing 192 member countries of the Universal Postal Union, Maroc Post and Saudi Post signed two strategic agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation and developing exchange in the postal sector, alongside supporting e-commerce growth.
According to a statement from Maroc Post, the first agreement involves a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two institutions and addressing new challenges facing the sector, particularly concerning the exchange of services and innovative products.
The second agreement pertains to the exchange of postal shipments starting from postal exchange offices outside the territorial jurisdiction of Saudi Post. This step aims to improve the processing of shipments related to e-commerce and facilitate logistical flows between Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
These initiatives fall within the dynamic framework launched by the fourth session of the Joint Cooperation Committee between the two countries, held in Mecca on March 5, 2025, reflecting the mutual desire of Maroc Post and Saudi Post to solidify their relationships and establish high-value structural partnerships.
Through these agreements, both parties reaffirm their commitment to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the postal market and e-commerce, with the aim of enhancing sustainable cooperation and developing strategically important services.
