Tiznit: Attempt to Smuggle Significant Quantity of Drugs Foiled
In the early hours of Sunday, border patrol units from the auxiliary forces successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a substantial quantity of drugs off the coast of Tamzlit near Aklou in the Tiznit region, according to reports.
Sources stated that the operation, conducted by a mobile unit of the border patrol stationed in the Massa area, resulted in the seizure of 69 bundles of hashish, 15 barrels of gasoline, in addition to a rubber boat and a four-wheel drive vehicle bearing a license plate from one of the southern provinces. A suspect originating from sub-Saharan Africa was also arrested on suspicion of being involved in this criminal activity.
The reports indicated that the public prosecutor has ordered the case to be referred to the judicial gendarmerie in Tiznit for further investigation to identify all potential accomplices and bring them to justice.
