The Regional Council of Kenitra approved the 2026 budget and adopted agreements for the development of rural infrastructure.
On Monday, the Regional Council of Kenitra held its regular session for September 2025, chaired by the council president and attended by the provincial governor, Abdellah El Mazid. The meeting was dedicated to discussing and approving various points on the agenda.
Council members ratified a partnership agreement concerning the construction and maintenance of rural pathways in the Ben Malik municipality, along with improving the inventory of council properties. They also reviewed the annual audit report for the financial and accounting operations for the years 2022 and 2023, carried out jointly by the General Inspectorate of Territorial Administration and the General Inspectorate of Finance.
Additionally, the council approved a partnership agreement for the lighting project along National Road No. 4 connecting Oulad Bourahma in the lower Ameer municipality to the city of Kenitra, as well as an agreement for delegated oversight of the same project, while examining the situation of the electricity sector in rural areas.
The session concluded with the approval of the provincial budget for the year 2026, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving services for the local population.
