Morocco’s Minister of Health, Ameen Al-Tahrawi, visited the Hassan II Regional Hospital in Agadir this morning, following widespread protests that took place in the city last Sunday against the decline in healthcare services.
Accompanied by the secretary general of the ministry, Al-Tahrawi toured various facilities within the hospital and assessed the condition of equipment and infrastructure. He received briefings from local officials regarding workflow and the challenges faced by medical and administrative staff.
Local sources confirmed that the visit is part of an urgent initiative by the Ministry of Health to address the shortcomings identified within the hospital and to seek practical solutions that meet the demands of residents who expressed their anger over the inadequate healthcare services in the city.
