On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, Ahmed El Ouari, visited the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida to assess the progress of preparations for the 16th edition of the Horse Exhibition, scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 5, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The visit was attended by the governor of El Jadida, Mohamed Al-Attafawi, and Dr. Habib Marzaq, the exhibition’s delegate, along with members of the Horse Exhibition Association. The tour covered various infrastructures under construction, including competition arenas, horse stables, exhibitor spaces, visitor pathways, and recreational facilities.
The 2025 edition, organized under the theme “Care for Horses: A Link Connecting Equestrian Practices,” aims to highlight the importance of horse care in terms of breeding, training, as well as in sports and cultural uses.
During a speech, the minister affirmed that preparations are progressing satisfactorily, ensuring an edition worthy of the exhibition’s status as a continental reference in the field of equestrianism. He praised the significance of the theme which reflects the will to modernize the sector while preserving its values and traditions, commending the involvement of the Horse Exhibition Association and partners in making the event a success.
For his part, Dr. Habib Marzaq expressed gratitude for the continuous support from public authorities and partners, reminding attendees of the exhibition’s role as a cultural and sports venue that promotes the kingdom’s international standing, hosting participants from over forty countries annually.
The audience at this edition can expect a rich program that includes prestigious competitions, notably the Grand Prize of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for Tbourida and the Grand Prize of His Majesty for show jumping, in addition to special competitions for Berber, Arab-Berber, and purebred Arab horses.
The competitions will be accompanied by a series of scientific seminars addressing the latest innovations and best practices in horse breeding and care, as well as knowledge and entertainment activities aimed at children and youth, and evenings featuring equestrian shows with distinguished national and international teams.
