Merchants of misfortune do not want Zefzafi to be released… the goods must remain in prison.

Ali Al-Morabite, the issue is not your thanks to Zefzafi for the prison officials. The real problem is that he is out of your hands and out of the hands of your companions who thrive on the backs of the Rif protests. You and the self-satisfying, excuse the now not-so-secret structure, along with Al-Majdoubi, Al-Mahdaoui, and Al-Rissouni, are like brokers; you do not want Zefzafi to be freed, because if he is released, your business ends. To you, Zefzafi is not a fighter, but merely a product you sell to your followers and donors. The tears you shed each time are not for his imprisonment but for the loss of your trade. In short: you do not want a pardon; you want him to remain imprisoned so that he remains the only capital you invest in.
