The judicial police in Mediouna have apprehended a drug dealer operating in the Merchich neighborhood, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Royal Gendarmerie. This operation was carried out in coordination with the relevant gendarmerie units.
The suspect was arrested following a period of surveillance, during which he was found in possession of a large and varied quantity of drugs, including ecstasy pills, Rivotril tablets, blocks of hashish, and several liters of a homemade alcoholic beverage.
Initial security investigations revealed that the detained individual is one of the main suppliers of drugs in the area, primarily targeting young people. Authorities have also identified his main supplier residing in the nearby town of Douira, and legal actions are expected to be taken against him.
This operation is part of ongoing security efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking and enhance the feeling of safety in the affected neighborhoods.
