The Choir of the Coup Plotters and the Futility of Impossible Dreams
From time to time, troubled discourses emerge, trying to present themselves as political or social alternatives while, in reality, they merely echo the insidious dreams of coup attempts. The latest of these outbursts is represented by some voices, notably the pedophile Suleiman Rissouni, attempting to exploit personal issues and legal files to settle political scores with the state and its institutions.
Rissouni, who still finds himself haunted by the case of his victim Adam without acknowledging his rights or offering an apology, positions himself today as a “theorist” for the future of governance in Morocco. The paradox is that someone who could not confront his personal issue with courage and responsibility is now attempting to give lessons in politics, the constitution, and democracy.
Worse still, the band of dwarfs supporting him, led by the fugitive Girando, has released a direct statement claiming that Prince Hicham Alaoui could act as a guardian for Crown Prince Moulay Hassan. This proposition is not merely political fantasy but a blatant attempt to undermine the clear legitimacy that the system derives from the constitution and the rich history of the monarchy. Moroccans are well aware that the position of crown prince is clearly determined by constitutional texts that do not allow for interpretation and do not open the door to ambiguous scenarios.
The fundamental question is: why this particular timing? The answer becomes clear when placed in the context of the repeated attacks on security apparatuses. These institutions, which only rally behind the motto “God, Nation, King,” have proven over the decades to be the safety valve for the state, and have thus become the primary target in the discourse of the coup plotters. The reason is simple: those who seek to destabilize Morocco know that the path begins with attempting to delegitimize its security institutions.
However, reality contradicts these illusions. Moroccan security apparatuses, whether in counter-terrorism or maintaining internal stability, have achieved results recognized by major international partners. Most importantly, they enjoy widespread public trust, as they deliver tangible outcomes in safeguarding citizens’ lives and their interests.
Moroccans, through their collective awareness and historical experience, understand that these voices do not represent them. They know that the stability of the country cannot be built on illusions, but on solid institutions, a clear constitution, and unified royal legitimacy. Thus, the dreamy calls will remain mere echoes in the void and will not change anything in reality.
It is certain that the strength of Morocco lies in a sacred trilogy: God, Nation, King. Any attempt to transcend these constants reflects only the isolation of its proponents from the pulse of society. The Moroccan people have never accepted and will never allow anyone to tamper with their future through coup projects cloaked in deceptive rhetoric.
