Atlas Lions Finalize Preparations at Moulay Abdellah Stadium Following Inauguration
The Moroccan national team is putting the finishing touches on its preparations for the match against Niger, set to take place tomorrow evening, Friday, as part of the seventh round of the African qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup.
The final training session for the Atlas Lions was conducted this evening, Thursday, on the pitch of the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, following hours after its official reopening during a ceremony presided over by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan.
National coach Walid Regragui utilized this session to finalize tactical arrangements, as the Lions enter the match leading Group 5 with 15 points, where a draw against Niger will be sufficient to secure their place in the World Cup officially.
The Moroccan team is expected to head directly to Zambia after tomorrow’s match, in preparation for facing the Zambian national team next Monday, as part of the eighth round of the qualifiers.
