Rabat Hosts Regional Seminar on Cybersecurity

On Monday in Rabat, the work of the Regional Seminar on Cybersecurity commenced, organized by the Directorate General for Information System Security under the Ministry of National Defense, following royal directives.

This event features the participation of senior government officials, experts, and representatives from the public and private sectors in Morocco, along with many Arab and African countries.

The seminar, which runs from September 15 to September 19, is held under the theme: “The Future of Cybersecurity: Digital Sovereignty for Sustainable Economic Development.” It provides a platform to discuss challenges related to cybersecurity resilience in light of emerging technologies.

The program includes sessions and workshops on artificial intelligence, quantum technology, digital sovereignty, sustainable development, and mechanisms for international cooperation.

The meeting aims to enhance Arab and African cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and develop effective mechanisms to counter digital threats and attacks. It also serves as a platform for IT and cybersecurity officials in the Arab and African regions and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states to identify common trends and strategies to address emerging risks at both the regional and international levels.
