Morocco Enhances Public Transport and Tests Innovative, Sustainable Solutions, According to El Economista
The Spanish newspaper “El Economista” has reported that Morocco has become a hub for testing innovative and sustainable public transport solutions in major cities like Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech.
The newspaper explained that the Spanish company “ALSA” plays a crucial role in this transformation by offering transport services with advanced European standards, focusing on improving traffic flow and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.
It added that the company has adopted a strategic vision that combines European standards with the specificities of the local market, modernizing infrastructure and building trust among citizens through reliable and safe services while employing 99% of its workforce locally.
The article noted that Morocco has strengthened sustainability in transport by introducing hybrid and electric buses, improving energy efficiency and waste management, which has contributed to the creation of about 6,000 direct jobs.
The company has also supported training programs to develop local skills, raising professionalism in the sector and making it a key partner in enhancing daily transport experiences for citizens.
The newspaper urged Spanish companies to invest in Morocco, emphasizing the need to understand the local context and form strategic financial partnerships, pointing to a webinar by Sabadell Bank on September 18 titled “Morocco: Business Opportunities” to promote communication between Moroccan and Spanish companies.
