Morocco Maintains African Leadership in FIFA World Rankings for September

Morocco maintains its lead in Africa in the FIFA World Ranking for September.

The International Football FederationFIFAhas released the new world ranking for national teams, following the end of the international break for September, as the Moroccan national team continues to hold the top spot among African teams, ranking 12 in the world.

Senegal ranked second on the continental scale (19 globally), followed by the Egyptian team, which moved up two positions to secure third place in Africa and 32 globally, while the Algerian team dropped three places to settle in fourth place in Africa and 39 globally.

The Ivory Coast team climbed to fifth (44 globally), ahead of Nigeria, which dropped to sixth (45 globally). The Tunisian team also noted a remarkable rise by two positions to become seventh in Africa and 47 globally, moving ahead of Cameroon (52 globally).

In other positions, South Africa ranked ninth continentally after moving up to 55 globally, while Mali secured tenth place in Africa despite dropping to 56 in the world.

The changes witnessed in this ranking reflect the intensity of competition among the top teams on the continent, while the Moroccan team continues to confirm its status as the best representative for Africa on the international stage.
