As of September 25, 2025, entry into Moroccan territory will require an electronic visa (AEVM) for citizens of five African countries: Algeria, Togo, Niger, Gabon, and Burkina Faso. This measure will remain in effect until January 25, 2026.

The new visa can be obtained through a dedicated online platform, where individuals wishing to travel must fill out a specific form and attach essential documents, including a personal photo and a copy of their passport, along with an electronically paid fee. Applications will be processed within a specified timeframe before travel authorization is granted.

This requirement also applies to holders of the “Yalla” fan card or those possessing tickets for matches, as they must also have the electronic visa before entering Morocco. This move reflects the authorities’ commitment to tightening control and regulating the flow of visitors.

This restriction comes during a period anticipated to see a rise in the number of travelers to Morocco in the closing months of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, as the kingdom aims for better organization of visitor influx, amid discussions about security and organizational considerations, as well as challenges related to accommodating large crowds during upcoming sporting events.
