Morocco and Poland Strengthen Agricultural Partnership to Enhance Food Security and Joint Development
Agricultural relations between Morocco and Poland open a new chapter with a working visit by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Ahmed Bouaari, to Warsaw, where he held discussions with his Polish counterpart, Stefan Krajewski, on enhancing strategic cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The talks covered multiple issues, including the development of trade exchanges, ensuring the health safety of agricultural products, scientific training, as well as research and development. Both sides emphasized a clear economic integration in agriculture and food industries, adopting a shared vision for a mutually beneficial partnership.
The agricultural exchanges between the two countries have reached approximately 1.7 billion dirhams during the period from 2022 to 2024, reflecting both the current volume of exchanges and the opportunities for future expansion.
Minister Bouaari’s visit included a tour of the “Bronisze” wholesale market, one of the most important trade centers in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Poland’s largest poultry production unit, where practical cooperation opportunities were identified in logistics, trade, and technical aspects. He also visited academic and research institutions, including the University of Life Sciences in Warsaw and the Horticultural Institute, to discuss ways to develop technological innovation, applied research, and enhance competencies in fruit and vegetable production chains.
This rapprochement embodies the desire of both countries to strengthen their partnership to contribute to food security and joint economic and social development.
