Maryam Cherfi Appointed General Director of the National Agricultural Bank
Maryam Cherfi has been appointed as the General Director of the National Agricultural Bank. A graduate of the Central School of Paris, Cherfi has extensive experience in major financial institutions. She began her career at Société Générale in 2004, where she held responsible positions in market risk management, before joining the Boston Consulting Group and then Mastercard France. In 2016, she led the consulting department in France, followed by the business development department in 2017.
In 2019, she joined Crédit Agricole S.A as a Strategy Manager, and took charge of the merchant services in 2023.
In March 2024, Cherfi led the joint venture CAWL, resulting from a partnership between Crédit Agricole and Worldline.
Her appointment at the National Agricultural Bank marks a new step in her career and reflects efforts to enhance governance and services provided by the bank to regional funds and agricultural actors in the country.
