Lieutenant General Mohamed Brih Represents Morocco at the Farewell Ceremony for the French Army Chief in Paris

On the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, General Mohamed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, represented Morocco at the formal farewell ceremony for General Thierry Burkhard, outgoing Chief of Staff of the French Army. This event took place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Courtyard of Honor of the Les Invalides National Hotel in Paris.

The ceremony was chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron, in the presence of senior civil and military figures from France and several friendly countries.

On the sidelines of the event, General Mohamed Berrid was received at the headquarters of the French Army General Staff by General Fabien Mandon, the new Chief of Staff of the French Army.

This meeting provided an opportunity to review various aspects of military cooperation between Morocco and France, as both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to enhancing and expanding this collaboration in light of current regional and international challenges.
