International Report: Morocco Tops the List of Most Influential African Countries

A recent report from “African Exponent” confirms that Morocco continues to solidify its position as one of the most prominent strategic players on the African continent, ranking fifth among the best countries in terms of geographical location impacting international trade.

The report highlights that the Kingdom, due to its location at the intersection of Africa and Europe, serves as a vital geographical pivot. Its position along the Strait of Gibraltar, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, places it among the few countries in the continent whose geography directly influences Atlantic and Euro-Mediterranean trade flows.

Furthermore, the report emphasizes that Morocco’s geographical proximity to Europe has enabled it to forge strong political and economic ties with its Western partners, without straying from its African roots. This geographical positioning has become a significant factor in shaping the Kingdom’s foreign policy.

The report does not overlook the magnitude of investments Morocco has made to transform its location into a strategic asset on the international stage, whether through the development of port infrastructure, particularly the Tangier Med Port, or by modernizing air and land transport connections, thus establishing itself as a regional hub for trade and investment.

In this context, the report reinforces the image of Morocco as a nation betting on its geographical location, not merely as a bridge between two continents but as an active player striving to cement its presence on the global economic exchange map.
