Minister of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports, Mohamed Saad Barada, conducted an on-site visit today to Abdelkrim Khatib Primary School in Sidi Allal Al Bahraoui, which is classified within the network of pioneering institutions. This visit coincided with the launch of the 2025-2026 school year, themed “For a Quality School.”

During this visit, part of a tour that included several educational institutions, the minister received explanations about the school enrollment data and the “Pioneering School” program, along with methods for its implementation on the ground. He closely observed the reception conditions for students through an inspection tour of classrooms and facilities, noting the efforts made by the administrative and educational staff to create an encouraging learning environment.

The occasion also featured an educational meeting with teaching and administrative staff, aimed at discussing mechanisms for activating the 2022-2026 roadmap within the institution, particularly regarding the continued expansion of pioneering institutions and ensuring the success of the current school year.

In a press statement, the director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Mohamed Aouaj, noted that the visit provided an opportunity to assess the results of the pioneering experience that the institution has shown in previous years, as well as to monitor the progress achieved in implementing the pioneering model inside classrooms. He emphasized that it was an occasion to communicate with the parents of students about their role in tracking their children’s educational progress, as well as to engage with educational staff to exchange ideas on enhancing achievements.

For his part, the school director, Abdelaziz El-Mabari, confirmed that Abdelkrim Khatib School has contributed since its opening in the 2023-2024 season to reducing school dropout rates, especially among girls, thanks to the available social services, particularly school transportation. He added that the institution launched an extensive communication campaign with families and students before the start of the current school year to familiarize them with the pioneering school program and to share diagnostic test dates and support schedules, while establishing communication channels from the first week of school.

It is noteworthy that the new school year has seen about 8.27 million students enroll nationwide, of whom more than 7 million are studying in public education.
