Foiling of a Smuggling Attempt of 60 Kilograms of Hashish at the Bab Sebta Crossing
Customs officials, in coordination with the police, successfully thwarted a significant drug trafficking operation involving hashish at the Bab Sebta crossing this Tuesday morning.
Reliable sources reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of 60 kilograms of hashish, carefully hidden inside secret compartments specifically designed in the front and back wings of the vehicle, as well as additional hiding spots under the rear seats.
The driver of the vehicle, a Moroccan citizen whose car bore Spanish license plates, was arrested and referred to the Judicial Police in Tetouan for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. The vehicle and the seized drugs have been confiscated and deposited in the customs depot.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts by customs and law enforcement agencies to enhance border control and combat trafficking networks and international drug trade.
