Fes-Meknes Records the Establishment of 3,926 New Companies in the First Half of 2025

The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property reported that the Fes-Meknes region witnessed the creation of 3,926 new companies during the first six months of 2025, including 2,565 legal entities and 1,361 sole proprietorships. Fes leads the list with 1,888 companies, followed by Meknes (1,250), Taza (251), Sefrou (180), Taounate (153), Azrou (86), and Boulemane (78).

The commerce sector dominates activity, accounting for 36.62% of new companies, followed by construction, public works, and real estate at 21.85%. Other sectors include various services (14.64%), industry (8.22%), transport (6.46%), hospitality and restaurants (6.10%), agriculture and fishing (2.60%), information and communications technology (2.04%), and financial activities (1.47%).

In terms of legal forms, 59.2% of the companies are single-member limited liability companies, while 40% are traditional limited liability companies, and 0.8% are other legal forms.

On a national level, 56,611 new companies were established, with the Casablanca-Settat region at the forefront, registering 17,620 companies, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (7,294), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (7,203), Marrakech-Safi (6,508), Fes-Meknes (3,926), Souss-Massa (3,785), and other regions.
