Nadia Fettah: The creation of a new grade for public administrators is linked to comprehensive social dialogue.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, confirmed that the establishment of a new grade for the inter-ministerial body of public administrators and the administrators of the Ministry of Interior remains contingent upon the results of comprehensive social dialogue. She clarified that this measure is horizontal and impacts several categories of state employees who have reached the promotion ceiling in their grade.

In a written response to a question from MP Rashid Hamouni of the Progress and Socialism Group, Fettah highlighted that the government is aware of the pivotal role played by public administrators alongside other public sector employees. She pointed out that the measures taken aim to value these human resources and motivate them, positively impacting the quality of services provided to citizens and businesses.

The government official noted that this group has benefited, like other components of the civil service, from several income improvement measures, including recent salary increases, a review of the grade promotion system, and a reduction of the tax burden through a reassessment of income tax.

Fettah recalled Decree No. 2.06.377, issued on October 29, 2010, which established the statutory framework for the inter-ministerial body of public administrators, followed by a process of consolidation and integration of similar professional bodies into a unified entity for administrators.
