Casablanca: Six Individuals Arrested in Connection with French Mobile Phone Theft Ring
The National Judicial Police of Casablanca has referred six individuals to the public prosecutor’s office on suspicion of their involvement in a criminal network specializing in theft and the concealment of proceeds from an armed robbery committed in France.
Technical investigations conducted by the police unit revealed the seizure of 31 stolen mobile phones from a robbery targeting a retail outlet belonging to a mobile phone distributor last February.
Field interventions led to the arrest of two traders in Marrakech and Rabat, in addition to four other individuals suspected of possessing, trafficking, and selling the stolen phones, along with the confiscation of suspicious electronic equipment.
All detainees have been presented to the public prosecutor after the completion of the investigation, as part of the security cooperation between the General Directorate of National Security and the French police.
