University of Cadi Ayyad Wins Silver Medal at Silicon Valley Inventors Festival

The University of Cadi Ayyad in Marrakech earned a silver medal during the 20th edition of the International Inventions Festival in Silicon Valley (SVIIF 2025), held in Santa Clara, California.

This recognition is attributed to a new patent (reference MA61006) awarded in 2025 to Professor Saïd El Beyd and researcher Abderrahim Chlakhy from the Innovative and Sustainable Technologies Research Lab at the National School of Applied Sciences in Marrakech.

The innovation is based on a new approach to improving maximum power point tracking in photovoltaic systems, enhancing energy efficiency and contributing to the fight against climate change.

The award was presented by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in partnership with the OFEED Association, reflecting the university’s stature as a key player in applied innovation on an international scale.

This achievement further solidifies the scientific and international reputation of the University of Cadi Ayyad and underscores the importance of applied research and the development of technological solutions with a direct impact on society.
