Abdel Sadek Morshed: Government Achievements are the Result of Dialogue and Effort
Abdel Sadek Morshed, head of the National Rally of Independents, praised the government’s accomplishments over the past five years during the party’s national tour titled “Path of Achievements” in the Marrakech-Safi region. He highlighted significant reforms in the public service sector and social development projects.
Morshed confirmed that this past period witnessed the highest wage increases in public service history, ranging between 1,000 and 1,400 dirhams, compared to previous crises where the increases did not exceed 600 dirhams. This reflects a strong focus on human resources as a fundamental pillar in developing vital sectors like education and health.
He emphasized that social dialogue has become institutionalized and regular, stating, “The government relied on direct and candid communication with social partners, distancing itself from mere formal promises. This ensures real reforms encompassing sensitive issues like pensions, which are approached in a spirit of consensus and consultation with the most representative unions, according to the principles of union independence from the government and the private sector.”
Morshed pointed out that the party has not shied away from contentious topics, but rather has confronted real issues and prioritized dialogue as a means to achieve tangible solutions. He acknowledged that the process can experience disruptions or misunderstandings, yet it ultimately leads to consensus decisions that guarantee economic and social development.
He concluded by affirming that the national tour was an opportunity to showcase governmental achievements and to share the government’s experience with various regions and administration, emphasizing the continuation of the reform path and effective communication with all officials to ensure the conveyance of messages and successes accomplished by the government.
