A high-level Turkish economic delegation composed of 20 companies has arrived in Morocco to strengthen investment partnerships.
Yesterday, the Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade, Mustafa Tuzcu, led this delegation, representing various economic sectors, during a work visit aimed at exploring new cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
The meeting, held in Salé and attended by State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Omar Hajira, provided a platform to discuss ways to enhance trade exchanges and develop joint investments. The Turkish official emphasized that economic relations between Rabat and Ankara are based on clear complementarity in the fields of industry and agriculture, opening the door for partnerships with high added value.
For his part, Hajira called for intensified efforts to increase Moroccan exports to the Turkish market, noting that diversifying trade exchanges is a strategic choice for achieving balanced growth that benefits both economies.
This visit is part of a dynamic collaboration that has gained new momentum following a joint announcement made last June, where both parties agreed to encourage Turkish companies to invest in Morocco in sectors such as textiles, automotive, renewable energy, and food industries.
Additionally, it was decided to organize regular business forums and economic exhibitions, with a second forum scheduled to take place in Istanbul mid-November to translate these orientations into concrete projects. Plans also include facilitating access for Moroccan agricultural products to the Turkish market through a new mechanism that will be defined by a joint working team.
