Morocco’s under-20 national team drew 1-1 with their Egyptian counterparts today, Wednesday, at the Mohammed VI Academy in Rabat, in a friendly match as part of their preparations for the World Cup in Chile scheduled for next September.
Jumato scored the only goal for Morocco in the 55th minute, capitalizing on a quick counterattack, before Mohamed El-Sayed equalized for Egypt in the 85th minute.
The Moroccan team is set to face Egypt again on Friday in a second friendly match, as part of the final preparations to finalize the squad and assess player performance ahead of the World Cup.
The match highlighted the strength of the Moroccan team and their ability to create offensive opportunities, despite the pressure from the Egyptian side, while the coaching staff focused on testing a wide range of players and getting them ready for the upcoming major competitions.
