Rebbah Harimat, captain of the Moroccan national team of local players, was awarded the Best Player accolade at the African Nations Championship after defeating Madagascar 3-2 in the final match on Saturday, held at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Meanwhile, the tournament’s top scorer award went to Osama el-Milioui, a striker for RS Berkane, who scored a crucial double for the national team in the final against Madagascar, following a goal from Youssef Mehri.
This marks the third title for the Moroccan national team in the African Nations Championship, following victories in 2018 and 2020.
