Russia Praises Depth of Relations with Morocco and Emphasizes Future Cooperation Potential

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin praised the quality and depth of relations between Russia and Morocco, reaffirming Moscow’s great respect for His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people. This statement was made during an interview with the Moroccan News Agency on the sidelines of a reception hosted by Morocco’s Ambassador to Russia, Lotfi Bouchaara, to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the King’s accession to the throne.

Pankin highlighted that the bilateral partnership between the two countries, in economic, cultural, and investment fields, is highly regarded by the Russian side, noting that there are significant opportunities to strengthen this cooperation. He expressed confidence in the ability of both nations to advance more swiftly toward consolidating their partnership, commending Morocco’s growing role on the international stage, especially in Africa and the Arab world.

The Russian official pointed out the notable development in economic exchanges, particularly in the tourism sector, stating that there has been undeniable progress in this area. He underscored the importance of direct flights between Moscow and Moroccan cities, considering them a strong lever to accelerate cooperation and enhance the dynamics of bilateral relations.
