Qatar Airways Enhances Flights to Casablanca as Part of Its Winter Expansion Plan
Qatar Airways has announced a new expansion plan for the winter season of 2025, which includes an increase in flights to over 15 international destinations, including Casablanca. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen air connectivity with key regions around the world.
In a statement, the company confirmed that this move is a response to the rising demand for its air services and its aim to expand its network from its main hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha. As part of this plan, the number of flights between Doha and Casablanca will increase from four to five weekly flights during the winter season, reflecting Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhance air links with the Moroccan market.
The airline clarified that this decision demonstrates its dedication to meeting the growing demand from travelers, whether for tourism, business, or transit purposes, especially amid the increasing popularity of air travel between Africa and the Gulf region. The plan also includes bolstering flights to major cities such as London, Berlin, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt, Madrid, Tokyo, Narita, Johannesburg, São Paulo, Sharjah, the Maldives, Phuket, Manchester, and Toronto.
Additionally, Qatar Airways announced the resumption of flights to Australia’s capital, Canberra, alongside the launch of a new route between Melbourne and Doha, which will raise the number of daily flights between the two cities to three.
Terry Antonori, the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated that this expansion reflects the strong demand growth for key destinations such as London, Dublin, and Copenhagen, emphasizing that Qatar Airways strives to develop its global network to meet travelers’ aspirations. He highlighted the company’s commitment to the Moroccan market and its desire to provide more diverse options for travelers to the Gulf, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
