Moroccan national football team is nearing the chance to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup, as they need just one more point during the upcoming international break to officially confirm their qualification.

The Atlas Lions will face Niger on September 5, followed by a match against Zambia on the 8th, as part of the seventh and eighth rounds of the World Cup qualifiers.

Morocco tops its group with 15 points, six points ahead of second-placed Tanzania, putting them in a comfortable position with only two rounds remaining in the qualifiers.

Morocco has benefited from the withdrawal of Eritrea, having played only eight matches in this round, achieving strong results. The team has won all their matches, scoring 14 goals at an average of 2.8 per game, while conceding only two goals.

With this performance, the national team continues to assert its strong presence on the continental stage, while fans of Moroccan football eagerly await the official announcement of the third consecutive qualification of the Lions to the World Cup, following their appearances in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
