Morocco ranks third in Africa for the number of wealthy individuals, according to the Africa Wealth Report 2025 issued by Henley & Partners and New World Wealth.
The report indicates that Morocco is home to approximately 7,500 millionaires, ranking behind South Africa, which tops the list with 41,100 millionaires (34% of Africa’s total), and Egypt with 14,800 millionaires.
Data shows that the continent’s five leading markets—South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria (7,200), and Kenya (6,800)—collectively host 63% of Africa’s millionaires and nearly 88% of its billionaires.
Additionally, Morocco has experienced remarkable growth in the number of wealthy individuals over the past decade, with a 40% increase, one of the highest rates on the continent following Mauritius (+63%) and Rwanda (+48%).
The report also forecasts a significant increase in the number of millionaires in Africa over the next ten years, estimated at around 65%.
