Kenitra is preparing for the launch of its first national festival that combines art and sports.
From August 23 to 26, the city of Kenitra will host the inaugural edition of the national festival, organized by the Kenitra Festival Association to celebrate Youth Day, under the slogan “Kenitra… A Space for Diversity and Creativity.”
This eagerly anticipated event will transform the city into a vibrant hub for activities over four days, where art meets heritage and sports meets creativity, in an environment open to all segments of society.
The program includes major musical concerts featuring stars of Moroccan music, alongside sports competitions in surfing, five-a-side football, three-on-three basketball, pétanque, and horseback games, adding a competitive and exciting element to the festival’s activities.
To enhance the cultural dimension, areas have been dedicated to heritage and art exhibitions, as well as workshops for children and youth. Additionally, there will be an intellectual seminar on the folklore of the Gharb region, making the festival a platform for discovering the richness of local heritage.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore local product exhibitions, photography displays, and works of visual arts, all aimed at showcasing Kenitra’s economic, cultural, and sporting potential and bolstering its status as a national destination for major events.
The organizers have called upon the residents of Kenitra and its visitors, as well as the media, to participate in making this inaugural edition a success, with hopes of turning it into an annual celebration of creativity, diversity, and openness to a broad audience.
