A New Strategic Partnership for Manufacturing the VX4 Electric Aircraft Frame with Moroccan Contribution

Vertical Aerospace, the British aircraft manufacturing company, has announced the signing of a long-term strategic partnership with Asitori Aerostructures, which operates in several countries, including Morocco, to manufacture the frame of its innovative VX4 electric aircraft designed for vertical takeoff and landing.

The agreement grants Asitori the responsibility of designing and supplying the complete aircraft frame, including the wing and outer structure, for both pre-production prototypes and commercial versions, pending requisite regulatory certifications. Vertical Aerospace benefits from Asitori’s nearly five decades of experience in aircraft component manufacturing, having contributed to major projects for global companies such as Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer, as well as being involved in eVTOL programs at firms like Lilium and Eve Air Mobility.

The partnership relies on Asitori’s capabilities in concurrent engineering, ensuring efficiency and quality in the production line for the VX4 aircraft. This step aligns with Vertical’s “Flight Path 2030” strategy, which aims to establish long-term industrial alliances and bolster the global supply chain security of the aircraft.

This agreement follows Vertical’s expansion of collaboration with Honeywell and its recent successes in flight testing between airports, reflecting the company’s progress towards achieving its vision of sustainable air transport.
