The White House announced that President Donald Trump is expected to sign an order on Monday to delay the deadline for increasing tariffs on dozens of countries, ranging from the European Union to Japan.
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt told reporters that the deadline set for July 9 would be postponed to August 1.
She added that Trump intends to address foreign leaders regarding the “reciprocal tariff rate” that will be imposed on their countries next month.
