Throne Day: The Royal Armed Forces Organize Aerial Displays and Parachute Demonstrations

In celebration of the twenty-sixth anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s ascension to the throne, the Royal Armed Forces plan to organize a series of aerial displays and parachute demonstrations on July 30 and 31, 2025, across various cities in the kingdom.

According to a statement from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, the famous “Green March” squadron of the Royal Air Force will be responsible for ensuring these acrobatic performances. The shows will take place on July 30 along the coast of the city of Mdiq, followed by another event on July 31 at the Promenade of Martil, starting at 6 PM, featuring a precise and exciting visual display.

In the city of Salé, the Marina of Abir Rguac will host a series of aerial demonstrations on July 30, secured by the first parachute infantry brigade. These performances will extend from 10 AM until the end of the day, including artistic jumps and coordinated formations in the sky, alongside precise landing exercises from altitudes ranging between 1,200 and 3,500 meters.

These events are expected to culminate in a distinctive symbolic moment, where two parachutists will jump from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter—one carrying the national flag and the other displaying the national motto: “God, the homeland, the King.”

This initiative aims to combine technical proficiency with national spirit, as the Royal Armed Forces seek to present a symbolic celebration open to citizens, embodying one of the most significant milestones in Morocco’s history.
