The Moroccan Embassy in Cairo Celebrates Throne Day with High-Level Diplomatic Attendance

On Tuesday, the Moroccan Embassy in Cairo hosted a celebration marking the 26th anniversary of the Throne Day, attended by several accredited ambassadors, alongside prominent Egyptian and Arab diplomatic and media figures.

In a speech during the event, Mohamed Ait Ali, Ambassador of Morocco to the Arab Republic of Egypt, emphasized that the celebration of Throne Day is not only a national occasion but also a manifestation of the unity of the Moroccan people and their enduring connection to the Alaouite monarchy.

The ambassador asserted that the reign of King Mohammed VI has been characterized by profound reforms across various sectors, establishing a new era of openness, democracy, and the consolidation of the rule of law and institutions. He pointed out that Morocco has achieved significant progress in areas such as the economy, industry, tourism, and infrastructure, making it a regional model for sustainable development.

Regarding Moroccan-Egyptian relations, Ait Ali highlighted that they extend beyond regular diplomatic ties; they are rooted in brotherhood and have deepened during the reign of King Mohammed VI and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He noted that bilateral cooperation is continuously evolving, with a partnership based on trust and coordination on various issues of mutual concern.

The celebration coincided with a speech delivered by King Mohammed VI on the occasion of Throne Day, where he reiterated that the achievements made over the past years were not mere coincidences, but rather the result of a long-term strategic vision, successful developmental choices, and political and institutional stability that enhances Morocco’s positioning within its regional and international contexts.
