The Moroccan Center for Poison Control Organizes a Training Session on Pharmacovigilance for Health Professionals from Six African Countries

The Moroccan Center for Poison Control and Pharmacovigilance, affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, held a high-level training session on pharmacovigilance for health professionals from six African countries from July 14 to 25, 2025, in Rabat.

Thirteen health professionals from six African countries benefited from the session, which covered topics including drug safety, monitoring mechanisms, reporting of side effects, strengthening healthcare systems, and ensuring patient safety at both regional and international levels.

This initiative reflects Morocco’s role as a key player in supporting health training on the African continent under South-South cooperation, highlighting its ongoing commitment to enhancing the capabilities of African professionals in alignment with sustainable development goals and strengthening health security in Africa.
