The government has announced the processing of more than 734,000 health coverage files and continues to implement the social protection initiative.

The Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, stated that the number of health coverage files processed by the end of June exceeded 734,000.

During a press conference following the Cabinet meeting, the minister noted that these figures reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring equitable access to treatment for all beneficiaries, particularly those unable to pay subscription fees.

He emphasized that low-income individuals can now benefit from the same range of treatments as those enrolled in the National Social Security Fund, thanks to the “Amo Tasdaw” program, with free healthcare services provided within public hospitals, marking a significant shift towards universal access to treatment.

The minister also highlighted the progress made in the health coverage expansion project, which aligns with the implementation of royal directives and meets citizens’ expectations. He stated that this project is one of the cornerstones of social protection reform in Morocco.

Additionally, the minister revealed that over 12 million files related to the reimbursement of medical expenses have been submitted, reflecting the growing trust among citizens in the new healthcare system that the government is working to establish.
