The Casablanca-Settat Boxing League strongly condemns the statements made by “Moroccan Boxing Portal” and demands legal action.
In a statement received by “Express TV,” the Casablanca-Settat Boxing League expressed its outrage at the inflammatory and defamatory content published on the Facebook page of “Moroccan Boxing Portal,” which is managed by a certain Moulay Said Rashid.
The league confirmed that the individual in question holds no legal or membership affiliation with any official body related to national boxing.
Furthermore, the league stated that the derogatory remarks and accusations issued from this page undermine the diligent work carried out by the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation and all its components, including associations and clubs, along with its administrative and technical staff. It condemned publications targeting the Federation and its president, Abdeljawad Belhaj, as well as its management committee, emphasizing that such practices are categorically rejected by the Moroccan boxing community.
The regional league called on the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation to initiate legal proceedings against Moulay Said Rashid to protect the institution’s dignity and preserve its history rich in continental and global achievements, which have received high royal appreciation, exemplified by boxers like Mohamed Rabii, Khadija Marcouchi, Tahar Temsamani, Abdelhak Achik, Mohamed Achik, and Widad Bertal.
The league urged the relevant authorities to intervene to protect national sports institutions from defamation campaigns, reaffirming that all content from the “Moroccan Boxing Portal” does not represent it and in no way reflects its views or those of the components of national boxing.
