More than 55,000 beneficiaries of the direct housing support program since its launch in January 2024

Mustafa Baytas, the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesman, has revealed that the number of beneficiaries of the direct housing support program has reached 55,512 individuals since its inception in January 2024.

This program aims to facilitate the purchase of first homes for Moroccan citizens by offering direct financial support of up to 100,000 dirhams for homes priced at 300,000 dirhams or less, and 70,000 dirhams for homes priced between 300,000 and 700,000 dirhams, taxes included.

Data shows that women constitute 47% of the beneficiaries, while Moroccans living abroad represent 23.7%. The city of Fez leads in the number of beneficiaries, followed by Berrechid, Meknes, Kenitra, Casablanca, El Jadida, Benslimane, Settat, Oujda, and Berkane. Additionally, youth under 35 represent 37% of the applications, with an average age of 41 years.

As of today, the program has recorded 177,344 applications distributed across the twelve regions of the Kingdom, with an eligibility rate of 89.43%. Most applications are centered on apartments priced between 300,000 and 700,000 dirhams at a rate of 62%, compared to 38% for homes priced under 300,000 dirhams.

This program is part of the national strategy for the 2024–2028 period, which aims to facilitate access to housing, enhance real estate activity, and stimulate the consumption of construction materials.
