Morocco requests Israeli authorization to introduce Moroccan humanitarian aid to Gaza via Ben Gurion Airport.

According to “Israel Hayom,” King Mohammed VI has sent a request to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asking for permission to allow Moroccan humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper reports that Morocco aims to transport this aid, especially food supplies, by air to Ben Gurion Airport, from where it will later be transferred by trucks to the Kerem Shalom crossing. It noted that the Israeli National Security Council has discussed the request, and relevant ministry officials are currently studying the feasibility of its execution using eight Hercules transport planes.

The newspaper also clarified that Israel recently approved a similar request from France, despite President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement of his intention to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. Tel Aviv allowed the Jordanian Air Force to drop aid shipments on behalf of France.

Additionally, on Wednesday morning, Israeli authorities received official requests from Spain, Belgium, Germany, and France to drop humanitarian aid onto Gaza, all of which were approved, using the Jordanian Air Force as the conduit for the drop operations.
