Morocco the Second Most Targeted by Cyber Attacks This Week

The cybersecurity platform “HackManac,” based in Dubai, reported that Morocco faced a fierce cyber attack this week, specifically from July 16 to July 22, 2025.

This specialized platform recorded 27 cyber attacks in one week, placing Morocco second, ahead of several countries such as Israel and the United Kingdom.

The weekly report highlighted that a group of Algerian hackers was the most active, having conducted a total of 30 cyber attacks. This clearly indicates a concerning increase in the activity of these attacks, which target official institutions and platforms within the Kingdom of Morocco.

This ranking is attributed to Morocco’s openness to the digital economy and its targeting by various external parties on a political level, necessitating the strengthening of the digital security infrastructure to combat this type of assault.

It is noteworthy that the cyber attacks this week are a continuation of a series of attacks Morocco experienced last month, where it ranked third after Italy and the United States.
