“Mohamed Mehdi Ben Saïd”: The Success of the World Cup in Morocco Depends on Developing Human Resources

During the “Morocco Today” forum, Mohamed Mehdi Ben Saïd, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, emphasized that developing human capital is central to the challenges associated with organizing the 2030 World Cup.

The minister affirmed that developing human capital is a national strategy adopted by Morocco for years, through various policies and decisions made by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which aim to position citizens as essential players in public decision-making and policies.

Ben Saïd also highlighted that the World Cup will create economic dynamism, through which the state aims to develop a range of industrial and service professions. He cited the “video game industry” as an example, which has become an opportunity for Moroccan youth to engage in the international market, achieving a turnover of $300 billion in this electronic industry.

The Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication concluded by stating that the government and ministry are convinced of the role of the Moroccan workforce in ensuring the success of this international event, and of the necessity to provide youth with opportunities to benefit from the open World Cup projects, to create job opportunities and contribute to reducing unemployment.
