His Majesty the King Receives Women’s National Football Team Players and FIFA President at the Throne Day Celebration in M’diq
Today, Wednesday, a significant moment unfolded during the official reception presided over by His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the Courthouse Square in M’diq-Fnideq, where he welcomed the players of the national women’s football team, alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa.
The reception was attended by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, in a festive atmosphere marking the 26th anniversary of the Throne Day.
The female players were honored with the opportunity to meet the king in recognition of their remarkable performance in the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, where they delivered a commendable showing that garnered praise from both Moroccan and international fans.
Infantino also took the opportunity to greet the king and congratulate him on the occasion, a gesture reflecting the strong ties between Morocco and international football institutions, and FIFA’s appreciation for Morocco’s rising football trajectory.
