In front of a notable audience comprising prominent figures from the industrial, institutional, and diplomatic spheres, Rahiioui expressed an ambitious and renewed vision for Moroccan industry.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, and the President of the Casablanca-Settat region, Abdel Latif Mahzouz, along with several ambassadors and heads of professional federations. During his speech, Rahiioui praised the collective commitment towards a shared objective of making sustainable industrial areas a true lever for territorial development and integration into global value chains.
Rahiioui stated, “After Tangier, where we raised the banner of industrial sovereignty high, we gather today around another fundamental pillar of our collective advancement, which is sustainable industrial areas.”
He believed this choice was not random, but rather embodies “the national will to build productive, balanced, environmentally responsible regions, fully integrated into global value chains.”
During his address, he highlighted the richness of the scientific program for this edition, designed to give a platform to the real actors of this transformation, saying: “It gives voice to those who imagine, fund, develop, and manage these new generation industrial areas.”
Rahiioui emphasized the practical challenges discussed in the seminars and round tables, from access to land to logistical connectivity, including energy transition, skills training, and territorial competitiveness.
He also announced a notable upcoming event in the program: the Industry Meeting Awards ceremony, which will reward the most innovative and responsible industrial projects on the continent, asserting that this event embodies the spirit of the current edition—highlighting successes, encouraging excellence, and strengthening collaborations.
In conclusion, the CEO touched upon the commitment of the magazine he oversees, stating: “The magazine ‘Industry Morocco’, which initiated this dynamic, is proud to support this ever-ascending sector. We have grown alongside it, and this dynamism is now expressed through our new slogan: ‘The Best of Moroccan-Made Economy.'”
Hicham Rahiioui ultimately thanked all the event’s partners, emphasizing the importance of the alliance between the public and private sectors and the local level, to launch this edition with a spirit of work and sharing, built on a collective conviction that Moroccan industry is ready to transition to a new stage of development, thanks to sustainable, inclusive, and competitive industrial areas.
