Gold Prices Drop to Lowest Level in Nearly Two Weeks
Gold prices fell on Monday to their lowest levels in about two weeks, influenced by weakened demand for safe-haven assets.
The price of gold in spot transactions decreased by 0.1 percent, reaching $3,332.39 per ounce, after recording its lowest levels since July 17. Likewise, U.S. gold futures dropped by the same margin to $3,332.50 per ounce.
Conversely, other precious metals recorded slight gains, with silver in spot transactions rising by 0.1 percent to $38.17 per ounce, platinum up by 0.9 percent to $1,413.50, and palladium increasing by 0.5 percent to $1,225.25.
