The “GO SIYAHA DAYS” caravan boosts tourism investment in Dakhla and supports project holders in the region.
Following its national journey, the “GO SIYAHA DAYS” caravan has arrived in Dakhla with the goal of enhancing tourism investment and supporting project holders at the regional level, as part of the national program to support tourism enterprises.
The meeting was chaired by the Secretary General of Regional Affairs in the Dakhla – Oued Eddahab region and the Director General of the Moroccan Enterprises Agency, who highlighted the technical and financial support mechanisms for tourism enterprises, in line with the royal guidelines concerning the development of the southern provinces.
Anwar Al-Alawi Al-Ismaili, Director General of the Moroccan Enterprises Agency, affirmed that the caravan serves as a practical tool for implementing the national program, which aims to support more than 1,700 tourism enterprises nationwide. He considered Dakhla as a strategic station for direct engagement with stakeholders in the region to explain the conditions for benefiting from new incentives and to expand the base of qualifying enterprises for support.
The same official emphasized the importance of supporting emerging enterprises, especially those involved in sustainable tourism, by providing precise technical support and ensuring access to various available benefits, thus contributing to activating the dynamics of tourism investment in the region.
For his part, Mohamed Mustaqim Al-Shalhawi, representative of the regional tourism delegation in Oued Eddahab, clarified that the Dakhla station represents a pivotal moment in the caravan, given its potential for showcasing the 2023-2026 roadmap for supporting tourism investment. He noted that the presentations during the meeting were characterized by innovation and ambition.
The discussions during this interactive meeting addressed priority topics for the region, including ecological and sports tourism, business tourism, as well as the sustainable development of oasis and desert areas.
Participants highlighted Dakhla’s tourism potential and its position as an emerging global destination, underscoring the importance of valuing its unique natural resources.
The meeting witnessed the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, the regional tourism delegation, alongside various officials, elected members, and economic stakeholders.
The “GO SIYAHA DAYS” caravan continues its national tour that began in March 2025, aiming to mobilize local capacities to enhance investment opportunities and bring project holders closer to the support system, with a comprehensive evaluation station planned for next November.
